Many of us were awed by left and right tourist spots outside Manila. But have you visited one of the most historical spot within the city? Yes, you heard it right. It is just within the Metro and it is located in the heart of the city.
Intramuros Manila is famously known as the “Walled City”. This is the oldest district in Manila. It is rich in historical facts, old houses and structures. When you enter this place, it is as if you travelled back in Spanish Era. Inside Intramuros, you can find Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church; schools such as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Mapua, Lyceum of the Philippines and Colegio de San Juan de Letran; hotels such as Bay Leaf, La Castellana and White Knight Hotel. News publishing house and Club Intramuros Golf Course are also located within the historic city.
